

After
World War II Japan was occupied by allied forces from 1945 to 1952. During this
time anything that was made in Japan for export had to carry a mark saying as
much. The top is one such teapot. The bottom was made a little later, in the 1950's
by Acme China. Both of these examples can be purchased for under $10 at either
eBay or at a sale.
