Depression Glass

Depression
Glass is machine-pressed glass made during the late 20's and 30's and used as
promotions. Ranging in colors from clear to very colorful the glass was mainly
seen as kitchen-ware.
Uranium
Dioxide was sometimes added to the glass that will make it glow under a UV light.
If the glass is yellow-green and glows florescent green under a black light then
it is called Vaseline Glass. If it glows yellow or yellow orange, the piece of
glass is not considered Vasoline Glass. The example above was sold by auctioneer
Rick Kaufman at an auction in Mar of
2002.
