Ginseng

This
is a picture of a 20 inch 124 year old wild Korean ginseng root. This root recently
went on auction and sold for $81,000.
The
scientific name of Korean Ginseng is Panax quinquefolium which means 'cure-all'.
Ginseng has been reported to be able to treat everything from ulcers to compulsive
behaviors. The popularity in herbal remidies has driven up demand for wild forms
of the root.
