Gone
With the Wind Lamps
This
nice piece is called a "Gone With the Wind Lamp." It was given this
name from the movie where they were all over the set. These lamps were very popular
with the upper middle class of the 19th century. They first started to appear
around 1830. This particular example was sold at auction by an auctioneer
dealing in fine antiques Rick Kaufman.
