Hot Wheels

Hot
Wheels are right now probably the single hottest collectible that can be found.
Rare versions especially red line models (one with a small red line on the wheel)
in their blister packs have brought as much as $14,000 on eBay! Their small size,
ease of mailing, and strong, loyal fan base make them a really safe bet for those
who re sell items on the internet auction site.
If you find a collection
for sale at a garage sale or auction
here are some things to look for.
Age - Cars from the late 60's to mid 70's
are in the greatest demand
Type - Look for muscle car type models and any
with a red line on the wheel.
Condition - Most of these have been handled
roughly. The more paint they have the better they will sell. The more wheels they
have the better they will sell. If you a late 60 to early 70 Hot Wheel in it's
blister pack, you may want to consider placing them in a safe deposit box.
Newer
Hot Wheels collections or examples like the one above without the red line on
the wheel may sell better as an auctioneers consignment or as a lot on eBay.
