Antique Kodak Cameras
This
is the front of a Kodak 3-A model B-4 Folding Pocket camera with red bellows.
This Antique Kodak was 9 inches tall and 4 and 1/2 inches wide. I'm not sure whose
pocket it would fit into. It is really beautiful to look at nonetheless. It featured
wood inserts on either side of the bed of the camera, leather bellows and case.
The red bellows on these type of cameras are worth a little more than black and
indicate it was made before 1912. This camera made postcard size photographs.
And was geared toward someone with a little more money.
Most antique folding Kodak cameras are still quite a bargain considering their
age and how they much sold for comparatively much more when they were first made.
Most old Kodak cameras can be had for far less than their original price. Exceptions
are made for cameras that are in exceptionally good condition, have a case and
instructions, or some that take stereo pictures.
Unlike
some collectibles, the model 3-A camera's price hasn't been adversely affected
by the emergence of eBay. 10 years ago, according to the 1992 - 1993 McKeown's
price guide these cameras were worth between $30-40. This particular camera can
now had for approx. $50 both online and at a live auction.
