Tonka Toys
First produced in mid 1950's, Tonka
toys have become synonymous with solid construction and incredible durability.
Made of pressed steel, Tonka produced construction vehicles, trucks and other
equipment. This particular dump truck from the early 1970's is from the line of
toys featuring a larger size, which made it easier for smaller children to play
with.
In part because
of their durability these toys don't sell as well on eBay as other toys of their
era such as Hot Wheels. This particular example in good condition would have a
hard time selling on eBay and might bring $5.00 at a garage sale or auction. An
example in mint condition might sell for $20.
